So in case you hadn’t heard it’s been snowing all across England recently…
Personally I love snow because as a teacher there is always a glimmer of hope for a SNOW DAY! And we got one!
So Friday last week was spent working on my crochet. I was a bit naughty and broke my “only work on one WIP at a time” rule but I’m a rebel, what can I say?
So my WIPs are…
Read Between the Lines by Tammy Canavan-Soldaat, this shawl is made from two Scheepjes Whirls which means by the time I’ve finished I will have knit two kilometers of yarn! Not too shabby for a returning knitter. I love the way this feels and the colour I chose, Lemon Cassis Cream, is really cheerful. I decided on one colour that I started from either end which will hopefully give a nice blending effect but we shall see.
The Simply Crochet Magazine Hook and Learn Project. The Hook and Learn is being run in the Simply Crochet magazine and I purchased a kit to hook along as well as joining the Facebook group. This was the first time I’ve used Scheepjes Colour Crafter and I think I may be a convert!
Cedar River Blanket by Deramores. These four squares are on our lounge footstool and the blanket will eventually go on the sofa, because of this I have adjusted my sizing to make a 6×6 square rather than a rectangle.
I’ll be updating on them all soon with more photos and hopefully some finished items.
I also spent some time looking at colours and yarn for a new project (because my “To Make” list will never be finished) but I’m going to keep it
secret until it’s finished at least until the yarn arrives so i can show off the colours.
It was a lovely day inside although the pooch and I did venture out in the afternoon to play in the snow.
For all the nasty cold snap last week this morning was crisp and bright, it is definitely starting to feel like Spring is on the way. hopefully it will hurry up and get here soon because although inside it feels like spring, outside is still decidedly coat and hat temperatures!
Until the next time,
